Favorites

Books: Currently working my way through GEB:EGB. It's good but I'm losing the run of it. Blackcock's Feather, Snow Crash, War of the Worlds, whatever's around. I tend to read fiction to fill in gaps in my time rather than for enjoyment.

Movies: lately, PI. Previously, Ghost in the Shell, Age of Innocence, Yojimbo, The Hidden Fortress, Tetsuo-Body Hammer, some Dario Argento flicks, Alien 3 (sue me), all the Ernest movies, the Misfits, Niagara, Mad Love (the Peter Lorre one), Apocalypse Now - weird, I never thought of myself as a movie fan. Live and learn.

Poems: Just for a change - T.S. Eliot. Primo Levi, Emily Dickinson, Ho Chi Minh's prison diaries, used to like Donne.

Television shows: There's a lot of shark documentaries on telly these days, isn't there? Earthworm Jim, Pokemon (when I get up in time), Sabrina the Teenage Witch (see Alien 3), otherwise nothing (see reasons for reading fiction)

Songs: Rooftop Lullabye (Jack L.), A low frequency inversion field (Spacetime Continuum),

Bands/musicians: The last couple of concerts I enjoyed were by Jack L. and Smog. otherwise a small subset of standard gothy crap.

Board games: The last I played was Go, but I got thoroughly trashed by an apparently-stupid computer player, so I haven't tried again.

Computer games: Quake.

Other games: Verbal matches with workmates.

Magazines: Usagi Yojimbo, very occasionally a Scientific American if I'm stuck in an airport or something.

Places to visit: I'm gradually coming round on the whole Vegas thing. Anywhere with a forest.

Food: Ramen. Mexican food, tagliatelle with sweet sausage and peppers in a herby brothy thing. Steak. Cherry Garcia. Chocolate midnight cookie Haagen Dasz. Cherries, plums, tomatoes (raw and whole only), raspberries, strawberries. Pepperoni pizza.

Colours: pink and black (sue me)

Drinks: Some herbal teas. Vodka, Red Bull, vodka and Red Bull, Guinness (but only because their twins ad campaign was cute), good coffee. Hot whiskies during the winter. Margaritas.
